This guide walks you through installing ITMKit on a Windows machine for the first time. The entire process takes about 10 minutes.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
- A Windows machine (Windows 10/11 or Windows Server 2016+)
- Administrator access to that machine
- Your ITMKit license key (received by email after purchase)
Step 1: Download the Installer
- Check your purchase confirmation email for the download link.
- Download the ITMKit installer — the file will be named
itmkit-setup-x.x.x.exe. - Save it to a convenient location (e.g., your Desktop).
Step 2: Run the Installer
- Right-click
itmkit-setup-x.x.x.exeand select Run as administrator. - If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway.
- Follow the setup wizard:
- Choose an installation folder (default:
C:\ITMKit) - Choose whether to install as a Windows service (recommended for servers)
- Click Install and wait for the process to complete.

Step 3: Activate Your License
- When the installer finishes, ITMKit will launch automatically in your browser at
http://localhost:8000. - You will see the Activation screen on first run.
- Enter your license key and click Activate.
- Activation requires a one-time internet connection. After this, ITMKit runs fully offline.

Step 4: Log In for the First Time
After activation, you will be redirected to the login page.
Default System Admin credentials:
- Username:
admin - Password:
changeme
⚠️ Change this password immediately after your first login. Go to your profile (top-right menu) → Change Password.

Step 5: Allow Network Access (Optional)
If other users will access ITMKit from their own computers on the same network:
- Open Windows Defender Firewall → Allow an app through firewall.
- Add
itmkit.exeor allow port8000for private networks. - Users on the same LAN can then access ITMKit at
http://[your-machine-ip]:8000.
Verify the Installation
Once logged in, you should see the ITMKit dashboard. If the page loads correctly, the installation is complete.
