The Daily Tasks module is the core of ITMKit’s day-to-day operations. It gives your team a structured way to create, assign, track, and close IT tasks — with full audit history, automatic overdue handling, and granular permission control.
What You Can Do
- Create tasks with a title, type, priority, assigned staff, and due date
- Track tasks through a workflow: Open → In Progress → Done
- View tasks by date, status, or assigned person
- See overdue and carried-over tasks at a glance
- Export task records to Excel
- Review the full history of every task — who did what, when
Task Views
Use the view buttons at the top of the page to switch between:
| View | Shows |
|---|---|
| Today | All tasks due today |
| Tomorrow | Tasks scheduled for tomorrow |
| Pending | Tasks carried over from previous days (not yet done) |
| All | Full task list with date filters |
| My Tasks | Tasks assigned to you |
| Team | Tasks across your team (supervisors and managers) |

Task Priority Levels
| Priority | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Low | Routine, no urgency |
| Medium | Should be done today |
| High | Urgent, do first |
| Urgent | Critical — escalated automatically from overdue tasks |
Auto-escalation: If a task is carried over twice without being completed, its priority is automatically raised one level (Low → Medium → High → Urgent).
Task Types
Tasks can be categorized by type to help with filtering and reporting. Common types include:
- TC — Technical / hardware
- SC — Software / system
- PC — Preventive maintenance
Task types are configured by your System Admin under Admin → Settings.
Task Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Open | Created, not yet started |
| In Progress | Staff has started work |
| Done | Completed |
Transitions between statuses are controlled by workflow permissions. Not all roles can move a task to every status.
Automatic Carry-Over
If a task is not completed by its due date, ITMKit automatically carries it forward to today the next time the system is accessed. The task keeps all its details — only the due date updates to today.
A carry-over count is shown on each task so you can see how many times it has been rolled over.

Permissions
The Daily Tasks module has detailed permission settings — what each role can create, edit, reassign, complete, or delete. Your System Admin configures these under Admin → Role Permissions.
Common defaults:
- Staff — can create tasks, start and complete their own tasks
- Supervisor — can reassign tasks, edit team tasks
- Manager — full access including delete and export
