This guide walks you through creating a new task and assigning it to a team member.
Who Can Create Tasks?
By default:
- Staff can create tasks assigned to themselves
- Supervisor can create tasks and assign them to their team
- Manager can create tasks for anyone on the site
Your System Admin can adjust these defaults under Admin → Role Permissions.
Step 1: Open the Task Form
- Go to Daily Tasks in the left sidebar.
- Click the + New Task button (top-right of the page).
- The task creation form will slide open on the right.

Step 3: Save the Task
Click Save. The task will appear immediately in the task list with status Open.
The assigned staff member will see it in their My Tasks view and in the Today or Tomorrow view depending on the due date.
Creating a Task for Tomorrow
To schedule a task for tomorrow instead of today:
- Set the Due Date to tomorrow’s date.
- The task will appear in the Tomorrow view.
- It will automatically move to Today view when that date arrives.
Editing a Task After Creation
Tasks can be edited as long as they are not Done. Click the task title to open the detail panel, then click Edit.
What you can edit depends on your role and permissions. Some fields (like Assigned To) may require Supervisor or Manager access to change.
